When a tooth nerve is damaged, deceased or inflamed it can be very painful. It needs to be removed in order for the pain to stop and the rest of the tooth to be saved. This is done under local anaesthetic. Then the rot canal needs to be medicated and shaped in order to be filled and sealed and the tooth restored. This can be done in onset session or over a couple of visits depending on the time and condition of the tooth.
