Wisdom teeth usually have multiple roots which can be fused or spread. They are at the back of the mouth close to the throat and can cause many problems. Due to the difficult access for cleaning and maintenance they develop many complications. Sometimes they are duly submerged under gum and bone. In order to remove them we need to elevate the gum and remove some bone so they can be easily extracted. If they are intact or symptomless they do not need to be removed(extracted). Procedure is done under local anaesthetic.
